Refining & Chemicals

Product throughput gains

Continuous measurement of process parameters and equipment enables focus of resources to quickly identify sources of inefficiency for corrective action.  Prevent unplanned downtime by early detection of equipment health indicators.

EPA compliance

Wireless sensors enable cost effective solutions for monitoring and reporting for EPA regulation compliance.  Automate with continuous time stamped information to minimize implementation and ongoing support resources.

Safety station monitoring

Continuously verify operational readiness of the safety station to operate if called upon in an emergency and generate remote alarm signals when an eyewash or shower is activated, alerting emergency response personnel that an employee has been exposed to potentially serious injury.  Sensors options include water supply pressure and temperature and additional sensors to detect if either the shower or eyewash element is operated.  The sensors are powered by the same battery that runs the radio module and can be readily retrofit to existing safety stations even if no power or signal wiring infrastructure exists. See our Safety Shower Monitoring Brochure.

Tether-free measurement and control

Battery powered with sensors, signal conditioning and robust FHSS radio communication.  Pressure, temperature, flow, level, switch state, on/off control outputs and special combination devices for optimal deployment of measurement and control with minimal infrastructure.  Interface to PLC and RTU devices for remote monitoring and control logic.

Pressure relief valve monitoring

Non-invasive wireless sensors continuously monitor Pressure Relief Valves to detect overpressure events and/or valve leakage.  Time stamped data provides automated record of PRV incidents. See our Pressure Relief Valve Brochure.

Remote analyzer signal transfer

Continuous analyzers enable significant improvements in process efficiency and quality of products.  In many process environments, local power is available to install and drive instruments, but signal wiring to remote control rooms does not exist.  Wireless signal transfer provides a cost effective solution to lack of wired infrastructure.

Pilot plant automation

Enable rapid deployment of measurement and control systems using portable wireless instruments.  The flexibility and set up time reduction provides process engineers with ability to experiment and validate new production methods.
